Brief: MacroPlan was engaged by the Celtic Club to obtain planning approval for the redevelopment of their Melbourne CBD site for a new club facility, and a 48 storey residential tower above.
Methodology: MacroPlan worked with the project architects (Peddle Thorp) and a multi-disciplinary consultant team to develop a scheme for the redevelopment of the subject site that incorporates the retention of the existing 3 storey heritage building on the site, and the development of a new 6 storey facility for the Celtic Club behind the heritage façade, and a 42 storey residential tower above.
MacroPlan then worked with the State Government through the planning permit process to ultimately achieve planning approval for the proposal.
Result: A planning permit was issued for the redevelopment as proposed.
