Project Description: MacroPlan was engaged by Planning Solutions to undertake a high level economic justification assessment for the subject site bounded by Clarendon and Loch Streets, Derby. The purpose of this submission was to demonstrate the proposed additional Town Centre zoned land will not undermine the town centre consolidation and will be required to accommodate the economic growth anticipated in the region, ensuring Derby’s role as an economic hub is maintained. MacroPlan’s assessment identified several key issues in regards to the appropriateness of the rezoning, most notably that the rezoning will not impact upon the consolidation of the existing Town Centre Zoning.
