Brief: MacroPlan was engaged by a private developer to deliver planning services pertaining to a proposed Holiday Inn Express Hotel at 168-184 Wharf Street, Spring Hill.
Methodology: MacroPlan worked closely with the client and Brisbane City Council to achieve an outcome that benefited all parties. MacroPlan was involved from project inception, pre-lodgement through to the lodgement, management and completion of the Development Application process.
A number of significant performance outcomes were negotiated with Council, including additional site cover, gross floor area and building height.
Result: MacroPlan submitted a comprehensive Building Bulk Analysis in support of the proposal, which ultimately led to the approval of 14 storeys of hotel and a lobby restaurant in a precinct which has a designated maximum of 10 storeys.
