Project Name: RSEA safety – Future network plan
Client: CHAMP Venture
Location: Australia and New Zealand wide
Brief: CHAMP Ventures required a detailed review of RSEA, Australia’s largest pure play safety products retailer, including an assessment of the potential for an expanded store network for both retail and hire stores in Australia and New Zealand. CHAMP Ventures required the information for a possible acquisition of the business.
Methodology: The research project firstly involved reviewing the existing network of all RSEA outlets in Australia and New Zealand. A comprehensive analysis of the key drives for both the retail and hire divisions of the business were then determined. The report then provided a detailed outlook of these key drivers including an analysis of future population growth, recent building approvals and current engineering activity in all Australian states and territories as well as in New Zealand.
This information was then used to investigate the future network potential of the business, including an assessment of the sales potential for all identified future sites.
Result: MacroPlan delivered a thoroughly researched report which identified many possible future sites for RSEA and was very well received by CHAMP Venture.
CHAMP Venture acquired a majority stake in RSEA in late 2011.
