Macroplan is currently working with a major landowner in the Geelong region to establish a planning pathway and development strategy for their Waurn Ponds property.  We have prepared detailed economic and market analyses addressing the potential for several uses including residential, commercial, industrial, retail, tourism and recreation.Â
Our work is focused on providing an economic justification for a coordinated planning outcome supporting a mix of uses capable of unlocking new investment, employment and affordable housing outcomes in the Geelong region. Our team is overseeing the preparation of a master plan for the site, with input from traffic and civil engineers, architects, urban designers, heritage and biodiversity specialists and planners.Â
We are working closely with the City of Greater Geelong, the Department of Transport & Planning and Invest Victoria as part of our ongoing engagement.  Â
