“Australia is on the cusp of an AI-led revolution that will change the shape of our economy, the way we live, work and travel. We have an opportunity to be market-leaders in this space, by redefining the way we plan for population growth and employment in our cities and regions. We need to act now, or risk being left behind…”

About

Glenn is an experienced urban economist and industry leader with extensive experience in economic forecasting, urban and regional land use planning and commercial advisory.

Glenn has almost 30 years’ professional experience, with 22 years’ practice in urban economics. He has held various senior positions previously with the Australian Bureau of Statistics (opens in a new tab), Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance (opens in a new tab) and KPMG’s Real Estate Advisory Services (opens in a new tab). Glenn has worked at Macroplan for 20 years.

Glenn’s extensive background in economics, social and environmental policy and commercial advisory makes him a unique and influential advisor spanning both public and private sectors nationally.

His clients include Federal, State and local governments, many of Australia’s prominent landowners, leading property developers, listed and unlisted real estate investment funds and major planning and infrastructure agencies.

How Glenn works

Glenn’s work falls into four areas: commercial transactions advisory, feasibility analysis and negotiation; property portfolio optimisation and strategy; social and affordable housing and build to rent; and land use economics and planning.

On commercial transactions and feasibility, his projects include the Boral Waurn Ponds redevelopment, the Fishermans Bend DCP financial modelling update, Melbourne University’s Campus 2, the La Trobe University Bundoora master plan, and the Bays Precinct redevelopment vision and land use modelling for UrbanGrowth NSW.

His property portfolio work includes Honeysuckle HQ, the Avalon Airport redevelopment, the Watergardens Shopping Centre mixed use repositioning for QIC, the Moonee Valley Racing Club redevelopment, Goodman’s Clayton Business Park and the University of Tasmania’s Sandy Bay campus development strategy.

In housing, he has worked on land lease communities for Villawood, build to rent modelling for Costafox, the New Epping urban landfill redevelopment for Riverlee and the Moree Shire housing strategy. In land use economics and planning, his work includes COVID-19 modelling for Housing Australia, demand forecasting for the Melbourne Industrial & Commercial Land Use Plan, and the Yarrawonga Futures land use strategy for Moira Shire Council.
